About Rick Warren

Rick is a follower of Jesus, strategic leader, and successful businessman.

After receiving a B.S. in Finance from Michigan State University, Rick started his career at Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young). In 1977 he founded Warren, Henderson & Co., P.C., a CPA firm specializing in tax and management consulting, and served as president and majority shareholder for more than seven years.

Rick was a successful real estate developer through the 1980s, orchestrating the planning, financing, and development of more than 40 major projects throughout the Midwest.

In 1994, Rick took the helm of Weldaloy Products Company, an established, leading provider of copper, titanium, super alloys, stainless steel and other non-ferrous metal forgings. Now called Weldaloy Specialty Forgings, the company serves global clients across a variety of industries, including aerospace, electronics, oil and gas, and more.

Rick serves as Chairman & CEO of Warren Strategies, a private equity investment firm based in Warren, Michigan, that provides strategy, management, and marketing services to middle market companies in Michigan, and the Great Lakes Region.

Amid his entrepreneurship and business enterprises, Rick’s true passions are for people and the gospel. He is heavily involved with various ministries and nonprofit organizations around the country—many of which are involved in supporting education.

Rick is married to Sara, and they have two adult-age daughters and one grandson. Rick enjoys reading, visiting family, spending time beside Lake Michigan, and following his Michigan State Spartans.
